By hand — the app never does it. No shuffling, no picking. Both of them answer whatever is next.

The app seals it the moment they do. Neither of them sees it again this year, and it is encrypted end to end.

The finished side of the box grows. That is the whole progress bar — and a year here is nights kept, not days elapsed.
On the three hundred and sixty-fifth night, the app hands back all of them at once, in order, as a film of the year they spent paying attention to each other.

Every message card carries one printed line — Night one: ____ — and a blank for the date you want them to start.
It is the difference between a gift tag and a gift. One hands over an object; the other hands over a night, and lets you be the one who picks it.

The questions we get.
Can I write my own message?
Yes. You write it at checkout and we print it on the card inside the envelope. Leave it blank and the card still carries the printed line and the blank for night one.
Will they see what it cost?
No. There is no receipt or invoice in the box, and the shipper is plain kraft with nothing branded on the outside.
Can it ship straight to them?
Yes. Enter their address at checkout and it goes directly, with your message already inside.
What is actually different from the standard edition?
The game is identical. The gift edition adds the presentation case, the band, the envelope and your message card. Nobody gets fewer cards.
Do they both need the app?
Yes. It takes two people and two phones — the app pairs them and there is no solo mode. It is free on iOS and Android with no subscription, and needs the code on the welcome card in the box.
When does it ship?
